AccessTime vs Kenjo

Kenjo is a broad European HRIS aimed at SMBs with a mixed office-and-frontline workforce: beyond time tracking and absences it offers shifts, payroll preparation, documents, recruitment, performance and surveys, priced per employee per month with no free tier. AccessTime doesn't compete on suite breadth, but on the compliance core for the Spanish SMB: the RD 8/2019 working-day record (Spain's mandatory time-logging decree), multi-channel clock-in, absences with balances at the Spanish legal minimum, and approvals. Its strengths are price (free for up to 10 people and the first year free), six languages including the co-official ones, and a very low switching cost with history importers. Kenjo wins if you need automatic shift rotation, payroll export or a full talent suite.

Where AccessTime wins

  • Price. Free for up to 10 people and the first year free on the annual plan, versus a Kenjo that's paid from the very first employee.
  • Six languages, three co-official. Catalan, Basque and Galician on top of Spanish, English and French. Kenjo operates in Spanish, English and German.
  • Absences at the Spanish legal minimum. Holiday balances at the statutory minimum of 22 working days with proration by join date, out of the box.
  • History migration. Forgiving employee and clock-in importers that let you keep the 4 years of records required.

Where Kenjo is ahead (today)

We'd rather tell you ourselves: these are the areas we don't cover yet. The roadmap is prioritised with our customers.

Automatic shift rotation Kenjo auto-generates rotating shift patterns; in AccessTime the roster is planned per week with reusable templates.
Payroll export Kenjo prepares and exports to payroll (A3 and similar); AccessTime exports to Excel and offers an API.
Talent suite Performance, recruitment and surveys are Kenjo's turf as an HRIS.
