AccessTime vs Sesame HR

AccessTime covers the same time-tracking core as Sesame HR's «Time» plan —web, app and QR kiosk clock-in with geolocation, an exportable working-day record compliant with Spain's RD 8/2019 (the royal decree that made daily time logging mandatory), real-time presence, and time off and absences with balances and approvals— but with a far more aggressive commercial offer: free for up to 10 people forever and the first year free on the paid plan, versus a Sesame with no permanent free tier. It also adds the three full co-official languages (Catalan, Basque and Galician) plus importers designed to bring your data over from Sesame itself. Sesame still leads on suite depth: a broader HR catalogue (payroll, e-signature, appraisals, recruitment).

Where AccessTime wins

  • Pricing that actually adds up. Free for up to 10 people forever and the first year free on the annual plan. Sesame has no permanent free tier and runs around €4-6/user/month.
  • Co-official languages. Full interface and emails in Catalan, Basque and Galician, on top of Spanish, English and French. A rarity in the Spanish market.
  • Frictionless migration. Employee and clock-in history importers built for Sesame's own exports: you switch while keeping the 4 years of records the law requires.
  • Working-day record ready for inspection. Monthly report with clock-in, clock-out, contracted versus worked hours and daily variance, exportable to Excel with a signature space per employee.
  • Security on the free plan too. Two-step verification, active-session management and change auditing at no cost, not reserved for paid tiers.

Where we're on a par

Multi-channel clock-in One-click web, mobile app and QR kiosk on a shared tablet, just like Sesame.
Absences and time off Configurable types, prorated balances, half days and attached supporting documents.
Audited clock-in corrections The employee requests the correction, a manager approves it, and a record is kept of who, when, and the before and after.
Real-time presence Who is working, on break or absent right now, filterable by department.
Rosters and shift planning Shift templates (morning, afternoon, night) and a weekly per-person roster; the planned shift sets the day's expected hours and is compared against what was actually clocked.
Clock-in reminders An email when your expected start time (from your shift or schedule) has passed and we still don't have your clock-in.

Where Sesame HR is ahead (today)

We'd rather tell you ourselves: these are the areas we don't cover yet. The roadmap is prioritised with our customers.

Broad HR suite Payroll, document e-signature, appraisals and recruitment: Sesame's turf as a suite. AccessTime focuses on time tracking and absences.
